A day in the life of Dominica Hall, activities co-ordinator
Much of Dominica's morning is spent making telephone calls to various speakers and entertainers, arranging a mixture of music, talks, exercise and therapy together with fun activities, arts and crafts. "We circulate a fortnightly forecast of events to all our residents, so that they have plenty of time to fit things in their diaries and plan what they want to do," says Dominica who has been with the Trust since the end of 2006. "The choice of activities we provide encourages residents to get involved in what's going on and getting people together in this way really encourages the remarkable sense of community that is apparent in all our retirement complexes," she continues.
From Bach to bingo, the activities that are organised cater for as many different tastes, interests and levels of expertise as possible;

if a resident wants to do something that we haven't organised, it doesn't take long for us to get something in place!
