The Beeches – Home from home

For those who are looking for somewhere to stay when their main carer is on holiday, or after a stay in hospital, The Beeches provides the perfect solution. Based within our development at Westbury Fields, The Beeches is principally for the use of people who wish to visit on a short term basis and as such is unusual in the Bristol area. Rooms can be booked in advance for planned care, or equally arranged at very short notice, depending on individual circumstances; our aim is to be as flexible as possible for everyone who needs our services.

All the staff in this specialist nursing facility are deployed to cater for the specific needs of the occupants and they have all the necessary experience and skills required to provide support for a range of health and care needs, including physiotherapy, subject to a GP referral, if required. The team is also committed to ensuring that occupants maintain their dignity and exercise choice and control whilst they are with us, which is an important part of our philosophy of care as an organisation. People who provide care for a loved one are able to take a break with complete assurance that The Beeches is a sensitive and welcoming environment. There are now a number of regular visitors to The Beeches who are delighted with what we do and say they are treated as individuals: their care is personally coordinated to achieve positive recovery outcomes; and they feel very much at home when they stay.

The en-suite accommodation is well-equipped and comfortable, with a TV, telephone and easy access to the shower, with a specialist hoist system if required. Many of our regular clients take advantage of having a bath in our special bathroom, which is extremely easy to use. On top of this, the choice of nutritious, well-balanced meals that are served in the dining room, coupled with a range of activities that are organised within the wider retirement village mean that there’s always plenty to do.

If you’d like to know more, please call the bookings team (Vickie or Sarah) on 0117 377 3730. The line is covered between 9.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
